SMART UKRAINE is a practical educational program that brings together Ukrainian cities and amalgamated territorial communities (ATC), city government experts, representatives of Ukrainian technology companies and international businesses, public and non-profit organizations, scientific and academic communities to build smart urban infrastructure in Ukraine.

SMART UKRAINE offers cities and ATCs educational courses and practical solutions for implementing the concept of SMART CITY – a model of the city that uses digital technologies to meet the city’s current challenges, facilitate its sustainable development and contribute to the comfortable life of citizens.

The educational courses and practical solutions of the Program are based on the consolidated experience of its members, formed according to their requests and focused around the following:

Educational component of the Program:

Thematic improvement courses (online / offline) according to the Curriculum

Regular events (educational seminars, presentations, working groups) with the involvement of city government experts, representatives of Ukrainian technology companies and international businesses, public and non-profit organizations, scientific and academic communities

Collaboration with media to promote the Program and the activities of its members

Practical component of the Program:

One-click access to the expert solutions and tools, accumulated, standardized and available on the dedicated resource for Program members

Improvement of the basic roadmap of digital transformation of the city

SMART CITY SOLUTION CATALOG containing roadmaps, recommended budgets, regulations, and lists of partner businesses and organizations for every solution.

SMART UKRAINE practical educational program was created by the joint efforts of the Kyiv Smart City Initiative, the Association of Ukrainian Cities and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
